British Council, Nigeria
HawkSight SRM software is being used by the British Council of Nigeria to facilitate ongoing security risk management through Nigeria. It was deployed five years ago to support the expansion of its language, teaching and exam delivery programmes throughout Nigeria, and now forms the backbone of British Council Nigeria’s security risk management protocol.
Security risk assessments focus on crucial office locations in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano and on sponsored programmes elsewhere, notably in the country'sNortheast.
Each site has been mapped on the HawkSight vGSOC and five years of security event data uploaded
Safety & security risk analysis was carried out on the HawkSight SRM for each office locations and project sites, including a series of universities in the Northeast of the country, requiring examination support in delivering recognised examinations internationally.
Following initial risk analysis and assessment of existing security controls, HawkSight SRM software provided the means for a detailed gap analysis which informed an updated mitigation strategy and the development of enhanced security risk management policies, plans and procedures to mitigate the key risks identified.
HawkSight SRM software now facilities the ongoing monitoring of safety & security threats & hazards across their operations area. Continuous risk analysis is significantly enhanced by HawkSight's GIS capability drawing on cluster & heat mapping and charting.
HawkSight SRM training products support initial and refresher training of British Council Nigeria staff in the methodology and use of HawkSight Software on a day to day basis.

"HawkSight Software has been hugely successful for us. They’ve done a first-class job in training our team and the system is fundamentally intuitive to use. The combination of critical information and overlay of current and historical threat data in a map format gives us the ability to make informed decisions and to mitigate risk effectively. It’s undoubtedly contributed hugely to the expansion of the programme, has transformed our approach to security management and our country-side operation in Nigeria"
