Situation

HawkSight SRM software has been embedded in PwC’s Security Operations Centre in the UK since 2017. The aim was to digitalise the security risk management process throughout its UK operations.

Solution

PwC

HawkSight SRM software was used to map PwC's UK-wide real estate portfolio. A live data API feed from UK Data Police integrated the PwC UK HawkSight SRM software account, enabling automated updated crime statistics surrounding each Uk office to track safety and security trends in these locations.

A HawkSight consultant carried out ISO Standard Security Risk Assessments (SRA) for each UK office. The SRA was designed to ensure compliance with PwC's UK Security Policy and ISO 27001 information security guidelines. In addition, it ensured that existing security controls were relevant to the overall risk profile of each office. If gaps were identified using HawkSight SRM software, PwC security implemented enhanced control measures.

The HawkSight Software algorithm drove efficient risk analysis in line with ISO 31000 risk guidelines, automatically creating a risk register for each office. This process has helped justify existing security controls and enabled the prioritisation of additional mitigation that may be required.

Impact

PwC UK now carries out annual security audits on a single platform. SRA can be carried out remotely, if required, saving considerable time and resources. HawkSight Software’s bespoke reporting tool generates tailored reports, streamlining the annual risk reporting process and ensuring the business is well informed.

“HawkSight Software has enabled us to standardise our security risk assessment approach, provide continuity in our risk reporting and helped us to visualise and monitor the risk profile across our UK real estate. We continue to work with HawkSight SRM to refine our risk reporting and are now using HawkSight Software for annual Travel Security Risks Assessments as well.”
